US Highway 2 Crash Kills Cataldo Condosta of Seven Bays
Airway Heights, WA (April 23, 2021) – On Wednesday, 67-year-old Cataldo Condosta of Seven Bays died in a motorcycle crash on US Highway 2.
The fatal accident happened near Spoko Fuel, 1 mile west of Airway Heights.
Apparently, Condosta on his 2002 Harley Davidson was eastbound in the left lane of US Highway 2. When at the same time, a woman on a 2002 Honda CR-V also in the right lane, slowed to move into the left turn lane.
Condosta’s bike did not slow. Also, skid marks showed a last-minute attempt to brake.
His bike struck the right rear side of the Honda and he was thrown from his motorcycle.
Responders took him to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center, where he died.
Meanwhile, Troopers suspect inattentive driving caused the accident. They also said that no drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident, though they did not say who was at fault.
Officers mentioned that Condosta’s helmet was not in line with U.S. Department of Transportation regulation.
