Late Afternoon Collision in Castro Valley Leaves One Injured
CASTRO VALLEY, CA (December 14, 2018) – One person was hurt following a two-car crash late Friday afternoon in Castro Valley.
The crash happened around 5:04 p.m. at the intersection of Grove Way and Redwood Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a blue Ford Focus and a black Chrysler sedan collided, causing blockage at the intersection. One of the cars was reportedly smoking due to the impact.
One occupant suffered injuries from the crash and complained of pain. The patient was taken to a medical facility for proper treatment.
The Ford sedan sustained a major front-end damage, while the Chrysler had major side damage. Both cars were towed away from the collision scene.
It is unknown if speed, drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors of the crash. Further investigation is underway.
