Cassie Goff, and Luis Cardona, Injured in Santa Marie Crash
Santa Maria, CA (July 03, 2021) – On Friday, 46-year-old Cassie Goff of Las Vegas, 22-year-old Luis Cardona of Palmdale, and a 14-year-old Las Vegas boy, were injured in a head-on crash on Highway 166.
The traffic crash took place at about 9 a.m. east of Alamo Creek Road, wherein a GMC and a Porsche SUV were involved.
Apparently, a larger GMC driven by Cardona was westbound when it crossed into the opposite lane.
As a result, it crashed into the eastbound Porsche driven by Goff.
Officers did heavy extrication to free the occupants of the Porsche.
Immediately, rescuers airlifted the 14-year-old boy to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for sustaining major injuries.
Similarly, rescuers took Goff to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria with major injuries.
They also took Cardona to Marian Regional Medical Center for sustaining moderate injuries.
“The collision is still under investigation, but it does not appar alcohol or drugs were a factor in this collision,” an officer said.
