1 Hospitalized, Casandra Harden Detained after Rohnert Park Car Crash on Rohnert Park Expressway
ROHNERT PARK, CA (August 5, 2019) – A person sustained injuries while police arrested a woman after a DUI car crash on August 2.
Authorities detained 26-year-old Casandra Harden. The crash happened around 6:15 p.m. in the 600 block of Rohnert Park Expressway.
Upon police’s arrival, they located an unconscious driver inside a Honda Civic in the westbound lanes of the road.
Responders transported the 22-year-old male driver to a hospital with serious injuries but stable condition.
Police believe that the Honda traveled eastbound on Rohnert Park Expressway. After that, it turned left from the westbound direction to turn into the Food Maxx parking lot.
Harden’s car collided into the driver’s side of the Honda. As a result, the car spun and struck a tree in the center divider. After that, it turned into the westbound lanes.
After that, Harden headed into the parking lot and parked her car. Meanwhile, a witness to the collision followed her to make sure she didn’t leave the crash scene.
Casandra Harden of Rohnert Park exhibited signs of intoxication. Hence, authorities administered a test and found out that her preliminary blood alcohol content is .23, nearly three times the legal limit.
Authorities arrested Harden on suspicion of felony driving under the influence causing serious bodily injury and felony hit and run causing serious bodily injury. Police booked her into the Sonoma County Jail where she is being held on $100,000.00 bail.
