48-Year-Old Valhalla High School Coach Fatally Injured in Collision with Deputy Car near C Street

 
ENCINITAS, CA (June 24, 2018) – A man was killed late Sunday morning after his motorcycle collided with a sheriff’s vehicle, on the South Coast Highway. The deceased victim was later identified as 48-year-old Carter Yarborough.
 
The deadly collision took place around 11:30 AM near C Street. Yarborough was riding his motorcycle northbound on the South Coast Highway at a high speed when it slammed into the rear passenger door of the deputy’s southbound car.
 
The deputy immediately exited the vehicle and administered CPR on Yarborough while waiting for emergency personnel to arrive. Unfortunately, the rider succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Encinitas Fire Department. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
