Three People Injured after Two Vehicles Collide on Highway 101 near Crissey Road
SMITH RIVER, CA (September 25, 2019) – Three people suffered injuries in a head-on crash on Highway 101, Wednesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 2:00 PM. Due to unknown reasons, a northbound Toyota Rav4, driven by 60-year-old Kristin Scott , veered into the southbound lanes. There, it collided with a 2004 Lexus driven by 73-year-old Carol Woodley.
Emergency responders transported both Scott and Woodley to Sutter Coast Hospital with serious injuries. As per reports, Woodley sustained a broken leg, cracked rib, and bruised thumb. Meanwhile, a passenger in the Lexus, identified as 63-year-old James Woodley, was also hospitalized with possible chest and hip injuries.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the collision. Investigators will release additional information once it becomes available.
