Carlsbad Boulevard Bicycle-Motorcycle Crash Leaves Brad Catcott Dead [Carlsbad, CA]

Carlsbad, CA (August 15, 2022) On Monday, Brad Allen Catcott, 68, died in a bicycle-motorcycle crash that injured 2 other people on Carlsbad Boulevard.

Authorities say that the fatal collision happened at around 1 p.m. near Palomar Airport Road.

Reports say that a motorcyclist is trying to escape a state park’s officer attempting to pull him over for speeding and reckless riding.

Consequently, the motorcyclist collided with a male bicyclist, and the crash killed the bicyclist. Authorities later identified him as Brad Catcott, of Solana Beach.

Meanwhile, the 28-year-old male motorcyclist and a 22-year-old female passenger suffered severe injuries due to the collision.

Paramedics transported both patients to a hospital.

Police are investigating the crash and have not released further information about the incident.
