Carlos Vera Killed in Belt Line Road Tragic Crash [Grand Prairie, TX]

Grand Prairie, TX (March 20, 2024) On Sunday morning, 33-year-old Carlos Vera died in a horrific crash on Belt Line Road.

According to Grand Prairie police, the fatal crash happened at about 7:30 a.m. on Belt Line Road.

Reports say that a southbound pickup truck, driven by 24-year-old Clesiz Leiva veered into the opposite lane and crashed with a Jeep SUV near Lakeview Drive.

Officials say that the driver of the Jeep, identified as Vera, was pronounced dead at the scene, while his passenger was taken to the hospital.

Police arrested Leiva for intoxication manslaughter and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Authorities are investigating the fatal traffic crash and have not released additional information at this time.
