Hollister, CA (September 27, 2023) On Sunday evening, 56-year-old Carlos Vargas was injured in a fatal crash on San Felipe Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly 2-vehicle collision happened around 10:15 p.m. north of State Route 156.

Reports say that Vargas was driving westbound on SR 156 nearing a green light, when a southbound vehicle ran through the intersection without stopping and crashed with Vargas’ vehicle.
