Injuries Reported in Ballico Auto Accident on Santa Fe Drive and Ballico Avenue

BALLICO, CA (February 15, 2023) – Monday morning, Carlos Ramirez suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Santa Fe Drive and Ballico Avenue.

The incident happened at 8:36 a.m. on Santa Fe Drive and Ballico Avenue.

CHP Officer Eric Zuniga said that the rollover crash involved two vehicles.

50-year-old Carlos Ramirez of Winton drove a 1998 Toyota Tacoma east on Santa Fe Drive approaching the intersection with Ballico Avenue.

As Ramirez drove near the stop sign, he slowed the vehicle. However, a Chevrolet Cruze driven by Tyler Etharidge of Turlock rear-ended him.

Officers said that the Chevrolet possibly traveled at about 70 mph before the collision.

Meanwhile, the crash led the Chevrolet to roll several times. Meanwhile, the Toyota veered to the right where it hit a parked trailer.

Authorities confirmed that Ramirez failed to wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Then, an ambulance took him to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.

Etharidge did not sustain any injuries.

Meanwhile, Zuniga added that speed is believed to be a factor in the collision.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
