Porterville, CA (August 27, 2023) On Saturday morning, 26-year-old Carlos Phillip Cortez of Tulare, after a DUI crash on Olive Avenue.

According to the Porterville Police Department, the DUI accident happened after 7:30 a.m. in the area of Olive Avenue near Highway 65.

Reports say that Cortez fled a traffic stop that led to a collision with a pole and another vehicle. Officials say that Cortez attempted to flee the scene, but officials found Carlos Phillip Cortez and detained the suspect.
