Injuries Reported in American Canyon DUI Accident on Highway 29 and Eucalyptus Drive
AMERICAN CANYON, CA (February 1, 2024) – Tuesday night, Carlos Perez was arrested after a crippling hit-and-run crash on Highway 29 and Eucalyptus Drive.
The incident happened just after 6:30 p.m. on Highway 20 and Eucalyptus Drive.
According to reports, the hit-and-run involved a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer driver who drove away from Donaldson Way and West Carolyn Drive.
Then, the suspect escaped on foot and attempted to hide in the bushes nearby, police added.
Eventually, officers arrested the 30-year-old suspect after he ran back to his Chevy in an attempt to escape. Officers arrested him for felony driving under the influence, felony hit and run, resisting arrest, and driving on a suspended license.
Also, authorities set Perez’s bail at $100,000, according to Napa County jail records.
Meanwhile, the victim received treatment at the hospital for minor-to-moderate injuries.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
