1 Person Dead in Midland Auto Accident on N Fairgrounds Road and Wadley Avenue

MIDLAND, TX (December 6, 2023) – Tuesday morning, Carlos Enrique Soto died in a brutal two-vehicle crash on N Fairgrounds Road.

Reports said that the incident happened at around 2:15 a.m. in the 3200 block of N Fairgrounds Road and Wadley Avenue.

According to the Midland Police Department, a northbound 2017 black GMC pickup veered off the roadway and struck a traffic pole on the southwest corner of the intersection of Fairgrounds Road and Wadley Avenue. Then, just a short time later, a southbound white Ford Fusion crashed into the wrecked GMC pickup.

Moreover, responders pronounced the driver of the GMC, 34-year-old Soto, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported two occupants of the Ford to Midland Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the MPD continued to investigate the crash.
