MODESTO, CA (May 9, 2022) – Sunday morning, authorities arrested Carlo Higuerra after a DUI hit-and-run crash on Albers Road and Dusty Lane.
 
The incident happened just after 9:00 a.m. on Albers Road, south of Dusty Lane.
 
According to reports, 26-year-old Carlo Higuerra of Los Angeles drove a 2003 Volkswagen sedan north on Albers Road. Two male passengers rode along with him. Then, Higuerra let his car enter the southbound lane. Afterward, it struck 32-year-old Dalton Binda of Turlock driving a 2016 Nissan SUV.
 
Then, Higuerra and his passengers went toward a canal. Stanislaus County sheriff’s deputies helped in finding them.
 
After the crash, Carlo Higuerra sustained minor injuries. He’s currently facing charges of DUI and hit-and-run causing injury. Meanwhile, his passengers do not face any charges.
 
Meanwhile, Binda also sustained minor injuries and went to Memorial Medical Center for treatment. Debris also hit a third vehicle, a 2022 Kia sedan driven by 21-year-old Cheyenne Souza of Denair. Fortunately, she suffered no injuries.
