Motorcyclist Died in Truck Collision on Deep Creek Road near Rock Springs Road
Apple Valley, CA (May 17, 2020)– On Saturday afternoon, a 38-year-old identified as Carl Nielsen of Apple Valley, died in a motorcycle crash on Deep Creek Road near Rock Springs Road.
CHP received crash reports at around 3:51 p.m. on May 16. Dispatched officers arrived and located a motorcycle and a truck on the scene.
According to reports, at about 3:51 pm, the victim driving his dirt bike motorcycle heading south on Deep Creek Road south of Rock Springs Road when he collided with a truck that made a left turn.
Emergency crews initially requested a helicopter to airlift the rider to a trauma center, but the request was canceled. He then immediately transported to Desert Hospital but pronounced dead at 4:35 pm.
The California Highway Patrol continues the investigation and asking anyone with information to call the Victorville CHP office at 760-241-1186.
