27-Year-Old Chico Motorcyclist Dead in Collision with Wood Chipper Trailer
CHICO, CA (June 3, 2019) – A motorcycle accident claimed the life of 27-year-old Carl Coleman of Chico, late Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near China Camp Road, at about 10:55 AM. Due to unknown circumstances, a Harley Davidson motorcycle crashed into a northbound Dodge pickup truck pulling a wood chipper trailer.
Unfortunately, Coleman succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. A GoFundMe page was created to assist his family with funeral arrangements and other expenses.
Meanwhile, the pickup driver, identified as 42-year-old Arnulfo Escajeda of Chico, remained and cooperated with investigators. As per reports, he did not sustain injuries in the collision.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fatal crash. Authorities encourage witnesses to reach out as soon as possible. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
