Two Drivers Hurt after Head-On Collision near California Street
SUISUN CITY, CA (February 25, 2019) – A vehicle became suspended from a telephone wire Monday afternoon following a fiery crash on Main Street.
According to the Suisun City Fire Department, the incident happened near California Street, at about 1:14 PM. Two vehicles collided head-on, causing both cars to slide off the wet road and one of them to slide up onto the wire.
Firefighters arrived after receiving a call about an adult woman trapped in a vehicle on fire. The victim was immediately rescued, and the fire was quickly put out. Meanwhile, the 82-year-old man driving the suspended car climbed out of his vehicle.
Emergency responders treated both drivers at the scene. One of them was transported to NorthBay Medical Center for observation, while the other refused further medical treatment. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision and to identify possible contributing factors. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact the authorities as soon as possible. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
