1 Person Hospitalized after Car Crash on East Riverton Avenue in Spokane
Spokane, WA (May 6, 2020)– On Tuesday, a car crash incident on the 2200 block of East Riverton Avenue left one person hospitalized.
Spokane Police and Fire department rushed to the scene on May 5 due to a crash accident involving one car. The responders arrived at the scene and found a car partially submerged in the Spokane River.
Spokane Police gathered witnesses and said that the car involved was speeding on its way down the street. Then, the car collided with a parked car in the area and hurled into the embankment until it reached the river.
Emergency Rescue
Emergency responders rescued one person from the submerged vehicle and rushed to an area hospital. Furthermore, emergency personnel investigated if there were any other victims inside the sunken vehicle.
There have been no updates regarding the current condition of the victim involved.
Moreover, police are currently investigating what caused the accident. Speeding and DUI are also being looked at as possible factors to the crash.
