1 Injured in Santa Clarita Pedestrian Accident on Copper Hill Drive
SANTA CLARITA, CA (June 27, 2019) – A pedestrian sustained injuries after a car struck him on Copper Hill Drive on June 25.
The incident occurred after 9:10 p.m. on Copper Hill Drive and Avenida Rancho Tesoro.
The deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station requested paramedics upon their arrival.
“This call was for a vehicle versus pedestrian,” Martin Rengel said. Rengel is the spokesman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
According to a food server at Jersey Mike’s Subs, he just crossed the intersection just after emergency crews arrived.
“I saw a body on the road,” the young man revealed. He also noted that the victim appeared to have been a young man, perhaps a teenager but not a child.
“I saw them (paramedics) put him in the ambulance,” he added.
He also revealed that the pedestrian had come to rest on the west side of Avenida Rancho Tesoro.
As pedestrians, we are also responsible of the laws. It is important to follow these rules to avoid accidents that can lead to injuries and worst, death.
