What’s Next After Tragic Loss
An unexpected loss may is devastating to say the least, but the victim’s family should know that they can take power in the tragic situation. Filing a wrongful death suit allows surviving family members to achieve vindication for their dearly departed.
By filing a lawsuit, the family can gain compensation for the funeral expenses accrued over a deceased victim’s send-off. However, handling this legal matter amidst grieving can be very difficult. This is where the role of wrongful death lawyers can be beneficial for the family. A lawyer serves as your legal representation, working to prove what you are owed in the wake of a family member’s death.
One of our practicing attorneys, Tyler Toomey, says:
“Insurance companies will try to save money, even if it means not fully compensating a family for the wrongful death of a loved one. When a family retains an attorney immediately, it gives the family time to grieve their loss, and their attorney can start focusing on holding the negligent party accountable”.
