GUADALUPE, CA (July 30, 2019) – On Tuesday evening, someone reported a car accident on Highway 1 with possible injuries.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol the crash happened around 6:10 PM between Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties at the Santa Maria River Bridge.
 
Law enforcement stated a green Subaru and a gray Nissan sedan collided. However, the cause of the accident is currently unknown.
 
First responders arrived at the scene shortly after. It was immediately unclear if anyone was injured in the crash.
 
The surrounding area closed for a brief time for cleanup and preliminary investigation, but has since reopened. Police did not announce further details regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time.
