76-Year-Old Fatally Injured in Pedestrian Collision on East Temple Street
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (March 19, 2018) – The person killed in a pedestrian collision on North Waterman Avenue and East Temple Street on Monday night has been identified.
Authorities were alerted about the accident at around 9:27 PM. According to officials, 76-year-old Candido Baros was fatally struck by an unknown car at the intersection, for reasons still under unconfirmed. The victim was transported by paramedics to the St Bernardine Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision.
Baros was pronounced dead around 10 PM by medical professionals.
The driver pulled over and called authorities, remaining at the scene and cooperating with police officials. The cause of the incident is still under investigation, as it is not clear why Baros was on the road in the middle of the night.
