Candice Russell Killed in Crash on Buckeye Road at Ninth Avenue [Phoenix, AZ]

41-Year-Old Candice Russell Dies after Crash on Buckeye Road in Phoenix 

Phoenix, AZ (September 26, 2022) – Early Monday morning, 41-year-old Candice Russell died in a crash on Buckeye Road at Ninth Avenue.

The fatal crash happened at around 4:45 a.m. on September 26.

Phoenix Police said Russel had stopped a car on eastbound Buckeye Road at Ninth Avenue and was asking the driver to call 911.

Then a vehicle coming in from behind swerved to avoid the stopped car but sideswiped it, knocking it into Russell.

EMS transported Russel to a hospital, but she later died.

Neither driver needed hospitalization.

Further investigation to determine the circumstances of this deadly crash is ongoing.
