Camry Driver Dies in Fiery Crash on 91 Freeway [Corona, CA]

Corona, CA [February 11, 2022) – On Wednesday, a Camry driver sustained fatal injuries in a fiery crash on 91 Freeway.

The collision happened about 10 p.m. the westbound freeway, west of Green River Road.

Officers said the unidentified victim was in the number 1 lane when his Toyota Camry broke down. The vehicle stalled before the driver was able to steer onto the shoulder.

At the same time, a westbound Toyota Highlander in the fast lane was unable to brake and maneuver around the Camry.

As a result, the SUV slammed into the rear of the car and the sedan Camry caught fire.

Immediately, the emergency responders arrived at the scene and knocked down the blaze.

However, the Camry driver died at the scene.

Meanwhile, the authorities said the SUV’s two occupants were able to avoid the flames. Paramedics took them to a hospital with non-fatal injuries.
