PALM DESERT, CA (March 6, 2023) – Saturday night, authorities arrested Cameron Curtis after a fatal pedestrian crash on Calliandra Street.
 
The incident happened at around 6:09 p.m. on Calliandra Street and Alamo Drive.
 
According to Sgt. Shaun Griffith of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, an eastbound gray Nissan Frontier struck a female pedestrian for still unknown reasons.
 
Moreover, responding paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
 
Furthermore, authorities arrested the Nissan driver, Cameron Curtis of Palm Desert, on suspicion of homicide. Also, officers believe that alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
