Caltrans Worker Hospitalized after Vehicle-Pedestrian Crash on Highway 101 in Nipomo

Nipomo, CA (September 9, 2022) – Friday afternoon, a Caltrans worker sustained injuries in a crash on Highway 101.

The crash in Nipomo happened at around 1:30 p.m. on September 9 in the southbound lanes near Tefft Street.

CHP said a truck driver from Santa Maria hit a plow along the side of the road before also hitting a worker.

EMS took the victim to a hospital in serious condition.

CHP is currently investigating possible charges against the driver.
