BRENTWOOD, CA (December 2, 2020) – Tuesday morning, a two-vehicle crash killed 19-year-old Caesar Borela on Vasco Road near Walnut Boulevard.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at around 3:45 a.m., on southbound Vasco Road near Walnut Boulevard in Contra Costa County.
 
CHP revealed that a northbound Chevrolet HHR driven by 19-year-old Caesar Borela veered over the solid double lane. Then, it went into the southbound lanes and hit a 49-year-old Brentwood man driving a Ford-150 pickup head-on.
 
Responders transported the pickup driver to the hospital after sustaining moderate injuries.
 
It is still unknown whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the fatal Brentwood crash.
 
Authorities closed Vasco Road to give way to the investigation.
 
All roads were reopened by 6:10 a.m.
