62-Year-Old Woman Killed in Four-Vehicle Collision near North 155th Street
SHORELINE, WA (September 13, 2018) – A taxi cab passenger was killed Thursday morning in a car accident on Highway 99. The victim was only identified as a 62-year-old woman.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision took place just after 7:00 AM, near North 155th Street. At least four vehicles were involved in the fatal incident. It started when a northbound car on the highway crossed over the median and went into the southbound lanes. There, it collided head-on with a taxi cab.
The impact of the collision sent the taxi into two other vehicles. A passenger inside the cab was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. The taxi cab driver and another driver were rushed to the Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in serious condition. There is no update on their current medical conditions. No other injuries were reported in the accident.
All lanes of Highway 99 were closed at the crash site as an investigation took place. No additional information has been released to the public at this time.
