Police Motorcycle Officer Injured after Hit by Vehicle in Anaheim
ANAHEIM, CA (July 1, 2019) – A police officer was hospitalized Monday morning after a motorcycle crash on 91 Freeway near the Raymond Avenue exit.
The crash happened around 8:35 a.m., on the westbound lanes of the 91 Freeway near Raymond Avenue. First responders arrived shortly after.
According to an initial report, the officer was struck by an unknown vehicle in the HOV lane. Arriving paramedics took him to UCI Medical Center for further treatment of moderate injuries.
The second vehicle had damage along its left side and the police motorcycle was damaged along the right side.
Reports also indicate that the other victims remained uninjured.
Four westbound lanes on the highway were closed while crews worked to clear the wreckage. However, the freeway was fully reopened by 10:30 a.m.
There were no reports of citations or arrests. The cause of the crash still currently remains under investigation at this time.
