49-Year-Old Riverside Motorcyclist Fatally Injured in Crash on Vernon Avenue
RIVERSIDE, CA (April 18, 2018) – A fatal motorcycle accident took place on Mission Boulevard in the Jurupa Valley, on Wednesday afternoon.
The accident occurred around 2:55 PM at the intersection with Vernon Avenue. Officers arrived at the scene and attempted resuscitation efforts on the critically injured motorcyclist until American Medical paramedics arrived. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene.
The deceased victim was identified as 49-year-old Bryan Smith of Riverside.
Mission was closed from Agate Street to Pyrite street for several hours, as authorities investigated the scene. Drugs and alcohol are not considered to be contributing factors, but the cause of the accident is still unknown at this time. There is no information on the events leading up to the collision.
