IRVING, TX (November 11, 2023) – Thursday afternoon, a brutal wrong-way crash on Interstate Highway 635 killed 1 person.

Reports said that the incident happened at 2:30 p.m. when a driver drove eastbound in the westbound lanes of Interstate Highway 635.

As a result, the wrong-way car crashed with another vehicle head-on. Then, the passenger of that vehicle died at the scene.

Meanwhile, responders took the driver of the car that was driving the right way to Parkland Memorial Hospital with serious non-life-threatening injuries. Then, the wrong-way driver was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Furthermore, investigators are trying to determine what possible contributing factors caused the driver to drive their car the wrong way.
