15-Year-Old Girl Dead in Granite Bay Auto Accident near Barton Road and Douglas Boulevard

GRANITE BAY, CA (July 18, 2023) – Sunday night, a brutal two-vehicle crash near Barton Road and Douglas Boulevard killed one person.

The incident happened at around 5:45 p.m. near Barton Road and Douglas Boulevard.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a red jeep ran a red light and collided with a black Escalade. Then, the force of the crash pushed the jeep to roll over.

Moreover, responders pronounced a 15-year-old female passenger of the Jeep, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the 16-year-old male driver of the jeep and a 16-year-old female passenger to Sutter Roseville Medical Center with minor injuries. Also, the 17-year-old male driver of the Escalade sustained no injuries in the collision.

At this time, the circumstances involved in the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
