2 Dead in Antioch Auto Accident on W 6th Street and G Street

ANTIOCH, CA (December 24, 2023) – Friday night, a brutal traffic crash on W 6th Street and G Street killed 2 people.

The incident happened at around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of W 6th Street and G Street.

According to reports, a black SUV was driving north on G Street and W 6th Street when it sided with the blue vehicle that was driving eastbound on W. 6th Street.

Afterward, the black SUV slammed into a fire hydrant. Meanwhile, the suspect(s) escaped the scene on foot, leaving the vehicle behind.

Meanwhile, responders transported the minors, a 12-year-old and a 13-year-old, occupying the blue vehicle to the hospital. However, they later succumbed to their injuries.

Also, the authorities haven’t determined whether the minors were driving the blue vehicle or if there was another driver in the vehicle.

Moreover, the authorities haven’t disclosed the victims’ names due to pending family notification.

Also, officers added that speed and reckless driving played a role in the crash.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
