SAN PABLO, CA (February 7, 2024) – Tuesday morning, a brutal traffic crash on San Pablo Avenue and Broadway Avenue killed 1 person.

The incident happened at 3:07 a.m. in the area of San Pablo Avenue and Broadway Avenue.

Officers revealed that the incident involved a vehicle and a pedestrian. Meanwhile, officers found a man with major injuries.

However, that pedestrian died of his injuries at the scene.

Meanwhile, reports said that the vehicle’s occupants were a male driver and a female passenger. Then, the man and woman suffered no injuries from the collision.

Also, a preliminary investigation said that the vehicle drove north on San Pablo Avenue when it crashed with a pedestrian in the roadway.

Meanwhile, the occupants of the vehicle stayed on the scene and have been cooperative with the investigation.

Officers said that impaired driving didn’t play a role in the crash.

Moreover, the crash temporarily closed San Pablo Avenue (between Broadway Avenue and Rumrill Boulevard) to all traffic at the moment.

Meanwhile, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the deceased due to pending family notification.
