1 Person Dead in Fresno Auto Accident on Highway 180

FRESNO, CA (November 28, 2024) – Tuesday morning, a brutal traffic crash on Highway 180 killed one person.

The incident happened at around 5:30 a.m. on Highway 180.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a westbound black Toyota Tacoma lost control, went over the guardrail, and landed below Highway 41.

Moreover, responders rushed a passenger of the vehicle to a hospital where the patient was later pronounced dead. Then, authorities confirmed that the driver of the vehicle sustained unknown injuries but is expected to recover.

Furthermore, officers said that the rainy weather played a major role in the crash.

The events leading to the crash remain unclear at this time. The public will be notified when additional information becomes available.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued investigating the crash.
