1 Dead and 1 Injured in Lancaster Auto Accident on Avenue L and 20th Street

LANCASTER, CA (June 8, 2023) – Tuesday night, a brutal three-truck crash on Avenue L and 20th Street killed 1 person.

The incident happened at about 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of Avenue L and 20th Street West.

According to reports, a red Chevy Silverado, a gray Subaru Forester, and a Ram 3500 pickup had stopped at the intersection. Then, the suspect driving the Ram pickup struck the back of the Subaru Forester. The impact sent the Forester crashing into the Chevy Silverado.

Then, the Subaru was crushed between the two trucks. As a result, a male passenger in the Forester sustained fatal injuries.

Also, the female driver of the Subaru was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

Moreover, the driver and passengers of the other vehicles suffered minor injuries.

Furthermore, the authorities arrested the Ram pickup driver on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.

Meanwhile, the authorities urged anyone with information about the incident to contact Lancaster Sheriff Station traffic investigators at 661-948-8466.
