MARICOPA, AZ (February 13, 2024) – Sunday afternoon, a brutal single-vehicle crash on W McDavid Road and N Taft Avenue killed 1 person.

The incident happened at about 2:30 p.m. on W McDavid Road and N Taft Avenue.

According to reports, a speeding car traveled west on W McDavid Road. Then, the driver failed to turn left onto N Taft Avenue.

As a result, the vehicle veered off the road and crashed into the tree. Then, the passenger succumbed to injuries at the scene while the driver sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a Valley hospital.
