2 Dead in Fresno County Auto Accident on Butler Avenue and Clovis Avenue

FRESNO COUNTY, CA (March 20, 2024) – Tuesday night, a brutal single-vehicle crash on Butler Avenue and Clovis Avenue killed 2 people.

The incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. on Butler Avenue and Clovis Avenue in Fresno County.

Investigators stated that a white SUV traveling northbound on Clovis Avenue departed from the roadway for reasons that remain unclear. The vehicle collided with a crosswalk post, a fence, and subsequently a brick pillar.

The SUV was occupied by two older women who tragically sustained fatal injuries in the crash. Detectives will persist in their investigation to determine the cause of the accident, although they have indicated that alcohol or drugs are not believed to have played a role.
