SAN ANTONIO, TX (February 11, 2024) – Friday night, a brutal scooter accident on 9500 West Commerce Street killed 1 person.

The crash occurred just before 9:30 p.m. in the 9500 block of West Commerce Street.

According to reports, a 42-year-old man was riding a scooter when a yellow truck, traveling in the same direction as the scooter, hit the scooter driver with the truck’s front right side.

Officers revealed that the scooter had no adequate lighting and the rider wore dark clothing on the dimly-lit street when he was struck.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Fire Department came to the crash and made life-saving efforts on the scooter driver. However, he was declared dead just after 10:00 p.m.
