1 Dead in Marana Auto Accident on Interstate 10 Frontage Road near Mile Post 233

MARANA, AZ (September 19, 2024) – Sunday, a 16-year-old driver died after a brutal rollover crash on Interstate 10 Frontage Road near Mile Post 233.

The incident happened last Sept 10 at 7:44 p.m. on Interstate 10 Frontage Road near Mile Post 233.

Reports said that the driver was taken to Banner UAMC Main Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, two additional passengers occupied the car but didn’t suffer serious injuries.

The authorities said that as the driver headed southeast along the frontage road, the truck veered off the road and overturned. 

Meanwhile, officers confirmed that the 16-year-old Toyota Tacoma pickup truck driver succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
