The incident happened on Highway 6 near US 90 and Imperial Boulevard.

According to reports, as a white van traveled north on Highway 6, the driver lost control and fell into a ditch.

Reports said that the van had five occupants. Three of them suffered minor injuries while another was airlifted to a hospital.

Meanwhile, one person succumbed to injuries at the scene.

Also, the crash shut down the northbound lanes of Highway 6 between U.S. 90 and Imperial Blvd.
