SPOKANE, WA (August 3, 2023) – Wednesday, a brutal rollover crash on Highway 2 and Bailey Road killed 1 person.

The incident happened on Highway 2 and Bailey Road near Riverside High School.

According to the Washington State Patrol and Department of Transportation, they initially shut down the highway due to a death investigation in the area.

Then, two southbound cars traveled on Highway 2. Then, one struck another in the rear, causing the car that was hit to overturn.

WSP added that the cause of the crash is “reckless driving.”

Then, they pronounced a 33-year-old woman dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the 43-year-old man who hit struck the car is facing a vehicular homicide charge.
