HOUSTON, TX (February 1, 2024) – Wednesday night, a brutal police pursuit crash on Interstate 10 and 59 Eastex Freeway killed 1 person.

The incident occurred at about 8:45 p.m. on Interstate 10 East Freeway and 59 Eastex Freeway.

According to reports, officers tried to perform a traffic stop on the stolen vehicle. However, the wrong-driver escaped until they eventually crashed with another vehicle head-on.

The deceased victim rode as a passenger in the backseat of the stolen vehicle.

Meanwhile, responders took the drivers and other passengers to an area hospital where their conditions were unknown.
