1 Dead in Stanislaus County Pedestrian Accident on State Route 33 and Ike Crow Road

STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (April 8, 2024) – Early Sunday, a brutal pedestrian crash on State Route 33 and Ike Crow Road killed 1 person.

The incident occurred at around 4:30 a.m. on Highway 33, north of Ike Crow Road.

According to the preliminary investigation, a 23-year-old Newman woman drove a 2020 Honda Civic northbound. Then, a man walked into her path.

As a result, the driver failed to avoid the crash, striking the 44-year-old male pedestrian.

When responders arrived, they found the victim lying in the northbound lane and declared him dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the Honda driver suffered no injuries.

Also, the authorities temporarily shut down State Route 33.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
