SANTEE, CA (December 21, 2023) – Early Tuesday morning, a brutal pedestrian crash on State Route 125 and State Route 52 killed 1 person.

The incident happened at about 4:25 a.m. when an unidentified female pedestrian walked along the transition ramp from State Route 125 northbound to State Route 52 west. Then, a BMW struck her.

Officers confirmed that the sedan driver failed to avoid the pedestrian, hitting her in the No. 1 lane of the connecting ramp.

Meanwhile, the victim succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

Moreover, the 37-year-old BMW driver from Spring Valley suffered no injuries in the crash.

Furthermore, the authorities ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in the crash for the driver. Meanwhile, the authorities haven’t determined whether the pedestrian was under the influence during the incident.
