SAN ANTONIO, TX (July 1, 2024) – Saturday night, a man died in a brutal pedestrian crash on State Highway 151 near Escala Parkway.

Reports said that the incident occurred at about 9:10 p.m. near the access road of State Highway 151 near Escala Parkway.

San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) revealed that a man was seen jumping into the roadway and waving at passing vehicles. The man was struck by a white 2014 Dodge Charger traveling southbound on the access road.

According to SAPD, the intersection where the incident occurred lacks marked crosswalks or pedestrian signals.

The driver of the Dodge Charger remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. SAPD confirmed that the driver was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Meanwhile, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. SAPD’s investigation determined that there was no criminal intent involved in the accident.
