MADERA, CA (September 13, 2023) – Monday night, a brutal pedestrian crash on Madera Avenue and Maple Street killed 1 person.

The incident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian happened at about 8:10 p.m. Moreover, it occurred in the area of Madera Avenue and Maple Street.

When the authorities arrived, they found a man in his 70s dead at the scene.

Reports said that the pedestrian crossed the street into oncoming traffic south of Madera Avenue just North of Maple Street. Then, the driver of a small pickup hit the pedestrian.

After the crash, the driver remained at the scene and has been cooperative with police.
