HOUSTON, TX (November 7, 2023) – Monday morning, a brutal pedestrian crash on Interstate 45 and Hardy Toll Road killed 1 person.

The incident happened at about 3:40 a.m. between Interstate 45 and the Hardy Toll Road of the North Loop, which remained unavailable for hours and reopened nearly four hours later.

Meanwhile, the Houston Police Department confirmed that the 24-year-old man was struck by a driver in a black Hummer. Then, the driver stopped, called 911, and remained at the scene.

Officers revealed that the driver was on his way to work and did not show any signs of impairment or intoxication, so he was released.

Meanwhile, first responders declared the 24-year-old dead at the scene.

However, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the man due to the pending family notification.
