JURUPA VALLEY, CA (October 29, 2023) – Friday morning, a brutal pedestrian crash on Country Village Road and Veseda Way killed 1 person.

The incident happened just before 3:30 a.m. on Country Village Road, north of Veseda Way.

According to reports, deputies and paramedics from Cal Fire located a severely injured pedestrian on the road.

Then, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that the pedestrian was declared dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the vehicle driver stayed at the scene to cooperate with the investigation.

However, the cause of the crash remained unknown. Moreover, the authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

Meanwhile, the identity of the pedestrian remained undisclosed due to pending family notification.

Moreover, the incident temporarily shut down Country Village Road between County Club Drive and Wagon Way for the investigation.
