1 Dead in Sacramento Pedestrian Accident on Auburn Boulevard and Myrtle Avenue
SACRAMENTO, CA (August 8, 2023) – Monday afternoon, a brutal pedestrian crash on Auburn Boulevard and Myrtle Avenue.
The incident occurred just after noon on Auburn Boulevard, south of Myrtle Avenue.
According to reports, a 60-year-old man was walking west on Auburn Boulevard outside the marked crosswalk. Then, a 51-year-old man from Sacramento driving a Freightliner made a right turn onto Auburn Boulevard.
Eventually, the truck hit the pedestrian.
Responders took the pedestrian to Mercy San Juan Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
